Cookshire Elementary School

Mission

At our school, we foster a nurturing atmosphere in which students are actively involved in and fully aware of their educational journey and social-emotional health. Our collaborative efforts are geared towards identifying the precise skills and crucial knowledge that most effectively promote advanced learning for our students. We achieve this by performing consistent formative assessments and dedicating ourselves to applying data-driven, research-backed methodologies.

Moreover, we prioritize the principle of “regulation before expectations,” ensuring that students understand the guidelines before setting higher goals. We encourage an environment where expressing emotions is embraced with the mantra, “it’s okay to feel all the feels.” Additionally, we are committed to implementing preventive interventions, aiming to address potential challenges before they become obstacles, thereby supporting our students’ growth in a holistic manner.
