Dear Parents,

We are currently experiencing a high number of students that have come down with gastro (diarrhea and vomiting).

Please be sure that if your child is not feeling well,  you keep them at home so that they may recuperate and not spread the illness throughout the school community.

We are now in the process of increasing the cleaning and disinfecting in the building to help stop the spread of the illness.

Cookshire Elementary School celebrated its 130^th anniversary on May 2, 2015 and held an open house for close to 200 alumni, friends and community members. During the opening address, Principal Cora Macleod pointed out some of the many renovations that had been completed at the school over the last few years and thanked all those involved in making the day a reality. Former students and staff were then invited to tour the school where memorabilia and old photos were on display dating back to the early 1900’s. Throughout the day you could catch people reminiscing about the time they spent at the school where happy memories elicited smiles and laughs. We would like to congratulate Mrs. Macleod, the staff and students on a wonderful day and all the best for next 130 years;
